Bulking Agent Program

Ecoflo has determined that a small percentage of the CM LP compost mixers functionality may have been compromised if you have been using sugar cane mulch. The mixer has been designed to be thin to knock down the compost pile, the bulking agent that has been supplied for last batch, has caused issues with breaking down the pile, due to the long straws of mulch being caught in the mixer blades.

CM LP may exhibit one or more following behaviours:

  • Hard to rotate
  • The mixer has been bent
  • Compost pile breaks down slowly

To address the issue, we have introduced new bulking agent ‘Mini Hemp’, the most sustainable mini hemp bedding for our composting toilets.

The mini hemps are finer grade. These small fibres make it easier to break down the pile with the mixer. We have conduced in-house testing that proved the mini hemp bedding absorbs up to 12 times more liquid than straw, and 4 times more than plain wood shavings.

Additional Information

If you believe your composting toilet was affected by this issue, please contact us to discuss further we will also supply a complimentary 12L pack of mini hemp.

Rental finance options for government and quasi-government organisations

Ecoflo is able to offer finance packages for some clients, subject to approval. The finance options allows the toilets to be installed and operated on a rental basis for the finance duration.

These financial packages allow payment via a series of monthly payments. In some cases, this may allow projects to be funded from recurrent expenditure rather than capital expenditure.

Finance is based on a hire-purchase type arrangement with equal monthly payments. Terms are available from 24-60 months with a setup fee.

Not all project costs can be financed. Eligible costs include capital value of toilets and buildings. Non-eligible costs include on-going servicing. Other costs need to be assessed on their merits by our financiers.

Are you eligible?

Eligibility criteria are based on:

  • Australian mainland based location
  • Government or semi-government status, or public companies
  • Project size from $25,000 -$250,000

Ecoflo – The Standard in Performance, Choice, Service and Value

When you “go with the flo” you’re buying much more than the best value waterless composting toilets and grey water systems - you’re buying quality-endorsed products certified to Australian & New Zealand Standards 1546.2 for waterless composting toilets. If you want to be certain your toilet has adequate capacity, and is safe, you need a waterless composting toilet certified to the tough performance criteria of AS/NZS 1546.2

As of 2018 Ecoflo is the only supplier with Australian Standards 1546.2:2008 certification!

All state approvals are now predicated on certification to AS/NZS 1546.2. Consequently most Ecoflo waterless composting toilets have state approvals.   Click to download Product Specifications & Approval Status. Assuming you have selected a state approved waterless composting toilet, you will then be able to obtain local council approval for the installation at your site. A council only has the right to refuse if your site is deemed too small or close to a water course.

If you can find a better value waterless composting toilet, certified to Australian & New Zealand Standards or not, we would like to hear from you!

Ecoflo - Q&A

Toilet humor aside, all of these questions have been valid ones since not everyone has had the pleasure of using a waterless toilet in their home. Much more have not reused their greywater so we understand how much information needs to be absorbed before purchasing a system.

That is why we have provided as much information as we can in this Questions section of the website and under the Products section too. If you still would like more information or would like us to mail a physical a copy of our brochure to you please contact us.
