The multi-award winning Nature Loo™ Alectura is a testament to smart design in waterless composting toilets. Built specifically for tiny homes, this unit stands out with its low underfloor clearance requirement of just 45cm, allowing for seamless integration into your compact living space.
The Alectura's effectiveness is rooted in a natural aerobic process, relying on beneficial microorganisms to break down waste. To ensure this process is efficient and odour-free, the system is engineered to maintain optimal composting conditions. It provides the microbes with the essentials they need: a minimum temperature of 12°C, approximately 60% moisture, and plenty of oxygen.
Several key features work together to achieve this. The unit’s double-walled design and a fan actively promote airflow, delivering a constant supply of oxygen and drawing away moisture and odours. To manage liquid levels precisely, a false floor and sullage hose drain excess liquids to an underground leachate drain, while specially designed wicks reabsorb moisture back into the compost pile to maintain the perfect balance.
The result is a highly effective, low-maintenance system that is free of chemicals and complex plumbing. Certified to Australian and New Zealand standards and approved in all Australian states, the Alectura is an easy-to-install and reliable solution.
